GalvaCladTM
Aliphatic
100% SOLIDS ALIPHATIC POLYURETHANE COATING
GalvaClad Aliphatic is a robust, colour-stable, polyurethane coating
formulated specifically for the protection of galvanized and
zinc-plated structures in applications where resistance to UV is
important. In addition, it works equally well over self-weathering
steel (usually sold under the brand name Corten™). The
two-component (1:1 ratio), instant-setting, 100% solids (near zero
VOCs) format of GalvaClad Aliphatic is ideal for high throughput
applications in plant settings and for large surface areas in the
field. While traditional preparation methods such as abrasive
blasting will give superior results compared to other coating
systems, preparing the surface with Madison GalvaGrip Surface
Conditioner / Adhesion Promoter will give optimum results at a
fraction of the cost. In addition, GalvaClad Aliphatic is
self-priming. Simply spray surface with GalvaGrip, let it work for
10 minutes, power wash off the residue, let surface dry and apply
GalvaClad Aliphatic. (Click here to view

GalvaClad Aliphatic is solvent-free, non-flammable and cures at any
temperature.
NOTE: When long-term colour and gloss retention
is not a major consideration, we recommend GalvaClad Aromatic
which offers excellent barrier protection at a lower cost.

refer to GalvaClad Liquid Zinc.

Typical Applications:
This coating is an ideal choice for long term resistance to
hostile outdoor environments where the coating must be both
robust and UV stable. Typical applications include building
components, piping, industrial equipment, galvanized roofing
and siding, road and highway structures, equipment/vehicle
parts, municipal projects and marine environments |
