Liquid Zinc
POLYURETHANE PRIMER / COATING FOR GALVANIZED METAL
GalvaClad Liquid Zinc delivers the next generation of zinc rich
primer, formulated to protect new and old galvanized structures in a
user-friendly format. GalvaClad Liquid Zinc also works very well on
self-weathering (Corten™) steel, giving it a galvanized or
aluminized appearance. It is a paint-like, high build product which
offers protection equivalent to traditional zinc rich primers
combined with ease of use and the unique ability to perform at any
level of surface preparation. While traditional preparation methods
such as abrasive blasting will give superior results compared to
other coating systems, preparing the surface with Madison GalvaGrip
Surface Conditioner / Adhesion Promoter will give optimum results at
a fraction of the cost. Simply spray the surface with GalvaGrip,
let it work for 10 minutes, power wash off the residue, let surface
dry and apply GalvaClad Liquid Zinc. (Click here to view

Suitable for use on its own, GalvaClad Liquid Zinc forms a rich,
stable silvery patina. Alternatively, it may be topcoated with
another Madison product.

Typical Applications:
GalvaClad Liquid Zinc is equally at home in the shop or on the
job site. Apply like paint after preparing the surface with
GalvaGrip. Because GalvaClad Liquid Zinc is “surface
tolerant”, basic power tool cleaning is another alternative
for many applications. GalvaClad Liquid Zinc is ideal for
rejuvenating virtually any galvanized structure from guard
rails and lamp poles to silos and metal roofs. It is also
the perfect base coat whenever one wishes to coat a
weathering steel (Corten™) structure. To achieve a
galvanized/ aluminized appearance, simply apply two coats of
Liquid Zinc. Otherwise topcoat with a Madison finish coat
such as AcrylaThane or TufSheen PreCatalyzed. |
