GALVACLAD™ AROMATIC
100% SOLIDS AROMATIC POLYURETHANE COATING
GalvaClad Aromatic is a robust polyurethane coating formulated
specifically for the protection of galvanized and zinc-plated
structures. In addition, it works equally well over self-weathering
steel (usually sold under the brand name Corten™). The
two-component (1:1 ratio), instant-setting, 100% solids (near zero
VOCs) format of GalvaClad is ideal for high throughput applications.
While traditional preparation methods such as abrasive blasting
will give superior results compared to other coating systems,
preparing the surface with Madison GalvaGrip Surface Conditioner /
Adhesion Promoter will give optimum results at a fraction of the
cost. In addition, GalvaClad Aromatic is self-priming. Simply
spray surface with GalvaGrip, let it work for 10 minutes, power wash
off the residue, let surface dry and apply GalvaClad Aromatic.

GalvaClad Aromatic is solvent-free, nonflammable and cures at any
temperature.
NOTE: When colour and gloss retention are critical,
consider using the sister product, GalvaClad™ Aliphatic.
Where a more paint-like format is desired,
refer to GalvaClad Liquid Zinc.

Typical Applications:
This coating is an excellent choice for long term resistance to
hostile environments involving corrosion, chemicals,
moisture (including salt water and ground water), impact or
abrasion. Typical applications for GalvaClad Aromatic
include building components such as girders and trusses,
pipes/conduits, galvanized roofing and siding, road and
highway structures, equipment/vehicle parts and marine
environments. |
