FusionClad® TC Ultra
“EASY-PREP”
WATERBORNE INDUSTRIAL PROTECTIVE COATING
FusionClad TC Ultra, our toughest water-dispersible coating, is
paint-like to use. It is a “Mix-and-Apply” polyurethane topcoat
with very little odor and very low VOCs (volatile organic
compounds). Its quick curing cycle means that coated parts can be
handled and shipped quickly. Apply by brush, roller or spray. It
cures to a semi-gloss, enamel-like finish. FusionClad TC Ultra can
be used on virtually any substrate. On steel and other metals, the
applicator can avoid the expense of elaborate surface preparation by
conditioning the surface with FerroGrip Surface Conditioner /
Adhesion Promoter and applying FusionClad Primer before applying
FusionClad TC Ultra.
The combination of FerroGrip and FusionClad TC Ultra also works well
on concrete, where the use of FerroGrip eliminates the need for acid
etching and abrasive blasting.
NOTE: For less demanding applications and for ease of use, consider
using
the sister coating, FusionClad TC, a single component acrylic-based
product

Typical Applications:
The FusionClad
system is suitable for protecting virtually any steel
structure targeted for, or currently used in, atmospheric
(i.e., aboveground) exposure. Use in the shop or in the
field for coating steel structures, equipment, sheet metal,
piping, furniture and storage tanks. FusionClad TC Ultra is
also ideal for concrete walls and floors and most other
substrates such as vinyl and other plastics, wood and
drywall. An anti-microbial version is available by special
order.
