TufSheen II

100% Solids Aliphatic Polyurethane Coating System

TufSheen II is the world’s only two-component, fast-setting 100% solids aliphatic polyurethane polymer for outdoor structures requiring a UV-stable coating system. Shop-applied examples are above ground storage tanks, utility poles and fabricated steel structures. In the field, TufSheen II is ideal for coating bulk storage tanks and refinishing metal panels. It comes with a choice of setting times from 10 to 45 minutes and can be applied in one coat without a primer.

This solvent-free, zero VOC, fast-set coating is applied in exactly the same way as all of Madison’s other fast set 1:1 solvent-free pipe coatings. This means no additional capital cost and minimal learning curve for users who are accustomed to plural component spray equipment.

TufSheen II offers excellent color and gloss retention. It cures to a hard, plastic layer with outstanding impact and abrasion resistance. Tear strength and tensile strength are high. The finished product is smooth and glossy with a slightly rubbery texture.

Typical Applications

Exterior coating of above grade structures where long term protection against colour fading, gloss reduction is required. Fast throughput is another important application property afforded by Tufsheen II.

Application Summary & Technical Data

Tufsheen II can be spray applied at any ambient temperature, in a single multi-pass coat, to any desired thickness. This fast and trouble-free application improves productivity and increases throughput. Having zero VOC's, this coating is also excellent for areas with strict regulations.
