Single-Component Universal Aliphatic Polyurethane Coating

TufSheen PreCatalyzed (PC) is a single component, exterior-grade polyurethane coating system designed for the protection of steel, wood, concrete, concrete block, and other surfaces subject to deterioration or corrosion. As its name implies, there is nothing to add; simply stir and apply. It cures to a tough, corrosion resistant coating, which resists acids, alkali, solvents, oils, salts, and ultra violet light.

Examples of applications include aboveground storage tanks, utility structures, metal buildings, rail cars, balcony railings, maintenance and construction equipment. If faster setting and higher pre-coat film build are required, consider AcrylaThane, a 1:4 component aliphatic acrylic polyurethane coating system. Where instant cure, unlimited one-coat build, high throughput and zero VOC content are desired, try TufSheen II, a 1:1 plural component aliphatic polyurethane.

Exterior coating of above grade structures where long term protection against color fading and gloss reduction is required.

Application Summary and Technical Data

Tufsheen PC is a single component system; simply stir and apply. It applies like paint, most commonly with a brush, roller or an airless spray gun at pressures in the 2,000 to 2,500 psi range in two coats of three to five wet mils each. It has an initial cure time of four to six hours, a handling time of 12 hours and may be topcoated within 48 hours.
