MariThane 3000
Ultimate Coating for Harsh Marine Environments
MariThane 3000 is a protective coating formulated for use in the harshest marine applications (both fresh and sea water) or simply where the user wants the longest possible design life, regardless of service conditions. The format is two-component, 100% solids and solvent-free. The polymer backbone is polyurethane and utilizes the latest generation of advanced resins.
MariThane 3000 achieves extremely high adhesion and retains it even when exposed to long term continuous immersion. In addition, it exhibits excellent resistance to undercutting, very high abrasion and impact resistance, very low permeability and a low co-efficient of friction. The very low coefficient of friction of MariThane 3000 makes it naturally resistant to marine growth, a feature that can be enhanced by specifying the “AM” version (see below).
Typical Applications
Application Summary
MariThane 3000 is a two-component, 1:1 ratio, quick-setting polyurethane. It can be spray applied to any thickness in a single coat at any ambient temperature.
Alternate Products
For potable water applications, use MariThane II PW Ultra. For lower severity applications, consider using MariThane II Multi, which provides excellent corrosion resistance at a lower price.
Available Variations
MariThane 3000 (CM) contains Madison Nano-Shield™, a ceramic modification that offers enhanced abrasion resistance and is ideal for highly abrasive or high flow applications.
MariThane 3000 (AM) contains MicroSpear™, a permanent EPA registered anti-microbial agent. Although the standard formulation is not susceptible to bacterial attack, the MariThane 3000 (AM) provides for extended service life in environments containing biological wastes.
