MariThane Liquid Rubber®

Single Component Elastomeric Protective Coating

MariThane Liquid Rubber is an easy-to-use polyurethane coating which, when applied like paint, cures by a polymeric reaction to a tough, abrasion resistant and impact resistant film. It will set and cure at any ambient temperature down to 15°F (-10°C).

Typical uses for MariThane Liquid Rubber include lining/waterproofing of concrete structures of all kinds (including water/wastewater holding tanks), repairing foundations and sealing any other surface calling for a waterproof coating capable of withstanding corrosion, chemicals, movement, flexing or possible hairline cracking of the substrate. For severe service, use this product in combination with fiberglass or other suitable fabric. It is suited for both fresh and seawater applications.

MariThane Liquid Rubber is available in two versions. The standard product looks and applies like paint. A mastic version is also available, ideal for preparing cracked or spalled concrete or for touch-up and repairs.

Typical Applications

Concrete structures where resistance to rust or corrosion undercutting is required, including:

  • Dock moorings, warehouses and other facilities in close proximity to water
  • Storage tanks, waste water treatment facilities
