General-Purpose Pipeline Coating

CorroPipe II TX-15 (or simply “TX-15” for short) is tried and true basic polyurethane technology for the protection of steel, ductile iron and concrete pipe and all their fittings against corrosion and abrasion. Equally at home for both interior and exterior applications, it is a fast-set, 1:1 ratio, two-component product that can be applied at virtually any ambient temperature. TX-15 is a solvent-free, non-flammable, 100% solids coating that cures in moments to form a hard, yet resilient coating that is ideal for normal immersion or embedded applications. Like all Madison plural component coatings, TX-15 contains no fillers, extenders, styrenes, amines or isocyanate monomers.

Application Summary

CorroPipe II TX-15 can be spray-applied at any ambient temperature, in a single multi-pass coat, to any desired thickness. This fast and trouble-free application improves productivity and increases throughput. Having zero VOC's, this coating is also excellent for areas with strict regulations.

For greater adhesion and potentially longer service life, consider CorroPipe II Omni, which uses the same resins but contains an additional adhesion promoter. For hostile environments, use CorroPipe 3000. For potable water, use CorroPipe II PW (original or CorroCote II PW Ultra). For extra abrasion resistance and elongation (e.g. ability to span hairline cracks on concrete pipe), use CorroPipe II Liquid Rubber.

CorroPipe II TX-15 (AM) is a modified version of CorroPipe II Omni that contains an EPA-registered anti-microbial agent. Although the standard formulation is not susceptible to bacterial attack, CorroPipe II TX-15 (AM) provides extended service life in sewer environments.

Available Variations

CorroPipe II TX-15 (AM) is a modified version of this product that contains MicroSpear, an EPA-registered anti-microbial agent. While the coating itself is naturally resistant to bacterial attack, MicroSpear resists the growth of microbial colonization on the surface of the coating (a health concern in many applications) and minimizes the risk of MIC (Microbially Induced Corrosion).

CorroPipe II TX-15 (CM) is a version of this product containing NanoShield, an additive consisting of microscopic spheres of real ceramic that enhance the abrasion and impact resistance of the finished product without detracting from other physical properties.
