CorroPipe II Liquid Rubber
Liquid-Applied Rubberized Lining and Coating for Pipe
CorroPipe II Liquid Rubber is a polyurethane elastomer that looks, feels and performs like a sheet of rubber bonded tightly to the substrate, yet is applied in exactly the same familiar way as all of Madison’s other fast set 1:1 solvent-free pipe coatings. This means no capital cost and minimal learning curve for users who are accustomed to plural component spray equipment.
NEW:CorroPipe II Liquid Rubber is now approved by NSF for direct potable water immersion contact. It is also suitable for all types of food contact.
NEW:For unparalleled abrasion and impact resistance, this product now contains Madison's Nano-Shield ceramic nanosphere additive as a standard ingredient.
Because it is an elastomer, CorroPipe Liquid Rubber is primarily intended for concrete. On steel and ductile iron, it is usually preferable to use our rigid or “structural” coatings such as PW, TX-15, Omni and CorroPipe 3000 because of their superior adhesion, perm rating and hydrophobicity. However, where ultra-high abrasion resistance is the number 1 criterion on any type of pipe, CorroPipe II Liquid Rubber is the perfect choice.
To boost its naturally superior abrasion and impact resistance beyond anything else on the market, CorroPipe II Liquid Rubber also contains Madison’s NanoShield additive, which consists of microscopic spheres of real ceramic. This product is 5 to 10 times more abrasion resistant than epoxy-based coatings.
Typical Applications
Concrete pipe, inside and out, including potable water applications, to replicate natural rubber linings. Also used on metal substrates where unusual amounts of impact or abrasion are expected.

Application Summary
CorroPipe II Liquid Rubber can be spray applied at any ambient temperature, in a single multi-pass coat, to any desired thickness. This fast and trouble-free application improves productivity and increases throughput. Having zero VOC's, this coating is also excellent for areas with strict regulations.
Available Variation
CorroPipe II Liquid Rubber (AM) is a modified version of this product that contains MicroSpear, an EPA-registered anti-microbial agent. While the coating itself is naturally resistant to bacterial attack, MicroSpear resists the growth of microbial colonization on the surface of the coating (a health concern in many applications) and minimizes the risk of MIC (Microbially Induced Corrosion).
Note that Madison’s “CM” technology, featuring NanoShield Ceramic Nanospheres, is available for this product (would no longer be NSF approved).
