Paint-like Lining/Coating for Metal and Concrete Structures

CorroCote ‘S’ is a Mix-and-Apply coating (Single-Component-Plus-Catalyst) that offers excellent resistance to corrosion, chemicals, abrasion and cathodic disbondment. CorroPipe "S" is a versatile paint-like product designed for use as either an internal lining or external coating. It achieves initial cure in 30 to 90 minutes (depending on the user’s choice of 3 available catalysts) and is typically applied in two or three coats. The product is direct to metal and suitable for use in cold weather. Several color choices are available.

Application Summary

CorroCote ‘S’ should be applied in a thin coat (less than 10 wet mils – 250 wet microns – under normal environmental conditions) to prevent foaming, sagging and pinholing. Multiple coats may be required to achieve the required thickness. Caution should be exercised if the humidity is great than 85%, however, these conditions can be overcome by heating the substrate to 80-100°F (27-40°C) prior to coating application, or reducing the film thickness per coat (less than seven wet mils, or 175 wet microns).

Available Variations

CorroCote ‘S’ (AM) is a modified version of this product that contains MicroSpear, an EPA-registered anti-microbial agent. While the coating itself is naturally resistant to bacterial attack, MicroSpear resists the growth of mould and mildew on the surface of the coating (a health concern in many applications) and minimizes the risk of MIC (Microbially Induced Corrosion).

CorroCote ‘S’ (CM) is a version of this product containing NanoShield, an additive consisting of microscopic spheres of real ceramic that enhance the abrasion and impact resistance of the finished product without detracting from other physical properties.

AM and CM can be specified together in your special version of CorroCote ‘S’ where service conditions require.
