Touch-Ups and Joint Coatings
GP II Touch-Up
Description: General purpose polyurethane touch-up suitable for all Madison plural component products.
End Use: For repairing damaged coating or small surface defects on large projects. Suitable for potable water service.
Application: This is a Mix-and-Apply format (1:1 by volume); mastic consistency. Pot life of 15-20 min. Apply by brush or trowel.
MG120 and MG125 (Touch-Up and Joint Coating)
Description: MG120 and MG125 (similar, but with higher film build capability) were designed as high performance corrosion coatings in their own right. They are solvent-free epoxy-polyurethane hybrids compatible with all Madison plural component products; suitable for atmospheric or immersion service, including potable water immersion.
End Uses: MG120 is typically used as a one coat touch-up and repair for damaged coating or small surface defects on large projects. Most commonly used with potable water linings in storage tanks or pipelines.
MG120 and MG125 are versatile coatings for the interior of welded joints of water and waste water transmission pipelines and are compatible with all of Madison’s factory applied linings. Contact Madison for specific products suitable for use with MG120 and MG125 joint coatings.
Application: Mix-and-Apply format (2:1 by volume); can be applied without special equipment, including brush, roller or airless spray.
MG120 may be applied to thicknesses of about 10-12 mils per coat, while MG125 is suitable for applications where higher film build is desired (about 20-25 mils per coat). Solvent reducible with Madison VR-4 Reducer as needed.

TX Touch-Up
Description: General purpose polyurethane touch-up suitable for most Madison CorroCote plural component products. Contact Madison for specific products suitable for repair with TX Touch-up.
End Use: Suitable for touch up of damaged coating or small surface defects.
Application: Single component; PreCatalyzed; mastic consistency; self-curing. Apply by brush or trowel.
CorroPipe II Joint Encapsulant
Description: High performance 100% solids, low viscosity, solvent-free, polyurethane casting resin for encapsulation of steel pipe girth welds. Outstanding protection against corrosion, chemical attack and cathodic activity.
End Use: For use with polyurethane, polypropylene and fusion bonded epoxy (FBE) coated pipe operating at standard or elevated temperatures.
Application: Minimal equipment required, pre-measured quantities are mixed and poured into the fabricated mold. Rapid curing allows joints to be placed into service after two hours. Self-inspecting nature of the resin ensures an incorrectly mixed or contaminated joint will be identified immediately.
Reducers
VR-1 (spray grade – Polyurethane products only)
VR-2 (brush grade – Polyurethane products only)
VR-4 (spray or brush grade – MG series products only)
Please contact us for details on the Madison products for which they are used and assistance with selecting the appropriate reducer for your specific application.
Description: Reducers essentially 'thin' solvent-dispersible products as required to achieve smooth, leveled, and defect free-free coating films.
End Use: Use with any product that is applied by single-component. Also recommended for clean-up of equipment.
Application: Add to mix-and-apply and precatalyzed products to enhance sprayability or brushability as directed by application instruction bulletins.
Catalysts for ‘S’ systems
(Pot life at 70°F/21°C)
C-4 (20 min pot life)
C-7 (45-60 min pot life)
C-10 (2-4 hr pot life)
Please contact us for details on the Madison products for which they are used and assistance with selecting the appropriate catalyst for your specific application.
Description: Catalysts promote even cure throughout the coating film and reduce the incidence of surface defects, including low gloss, fisheyes, orange peel, pinholes, and others. They promote faster cure in cooler weather and reduce surface curing in warmer weather.
End Use: Catalysts are required in Single-component-plus-catalyst or ‘S’ systems.
Application: Thoroughly mix into above products as directed by application instruction bulletins.
