Pipeline Rehabilitation

Madison’s roots in the pipe coating world go back to 1981 and we have coated thousands of miles of pipe since then.

While we are best known for the coating of new pipe, many Madison products are ideal for the rehabilitation of existing pipe. For example, some products are supplied in a handy Mix-and-Apply format, making them ideal for field work. The choices include MG-120, a solvent-free epoxy which has full NSF approval for the lining of water pipes, and CorroPipe “S”, a paint-like polyurethane that has been used for almost three decades on both exterior and interior applications.

Where quick turnaround is required, our plural component systems are ideal, whether it is CorroPipe 3000, the toughest polyurethane on the market, CorroPipe II PW for potable water exposure or CorroPipe II TX-15 for general immersion and embedded service or CorroPipe II Omni, specially formulated to be “surface tolerant”. We even have a product for lining pipes exposed to highly abrasive conditions, CorroPipe II Liquid Rubber.

For aboveground pipelines, we offer a variety of color and gloss-retaining topcoats such as CorroPipe II Aliphatic (1:1 instant setting) and CorroPipe 1:4 Aliphatic (paint-like Mix-and-Apply).

As always, we offer products that cure in minutes not days, and set at temperatures as low as –40ºF ensuring integral structures are put back into service quickly. Madison coatings and linings are applied directly to metal without a primer, can be easily touched-up if damaged and provide a durable, long lasting barrier to corrosion and chemical attack.

When you do need a primer, we have the best one on the market: CorroPipe Zinc Rich Primer. It is robust, forgiving, easy to apply, and great-looking.
