Pipeline Coatings
Madison invented the world’s first polyurethane coating for pipelines away back in 1981 and coated our first project, a small crude oil line, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We’ve never looked back.
Today, we supply internal linings and external coatings for projects on four continents and have a strong presence in the minds of end users and specifying authorities. We have garnered a number of approvals from regulatory bodies such as NSF.
We are innovators. Just when the competition thinks they are finally catching up, we raise the bar. For example, we have the only one-coat system rated for elevated temperatures; everybody else is approved only at room temperature: - not much good in hot climates. In addition, we have the only permanent anti-microbial additive – MicroSpear – that is NSF-appoved. We offer several products in a ceramic-fortified version for extra abrasion and impact resistance.
In the past several years, the innovation has not just continued but accelerated. Our new CorroPipe 3000 and CorroPipe PW Ultra offer industry-leading performance characteristics in terms of initial adhesion, adhesion retention during immersion service, low water absorption, low permeance, high impact resistance and resistance to microbial attack. Our new CorroPipe II Liquid Rubber offers the toughness of a rubber lining in a one-coat spray-on, quick-set format. For some applications, our unique No-Blast technology will provide the desired results at a far lower cost than traditional abrasive blasting.
As always, we offer products that cure in minutes not days, and set at temperatures as low as –40ºF ensuring integral structures are put back into service quickly. Madison coatings and linings are applied directly to metal without a primer, can be easily touched-up if damaged and provide a durable, long lasting barrier to corrosion and chemical attack.
Madison has comprehensive coating/lining systems for a number of pipeline applications, including potable water, wastewater, process water, sewage, penstocks, and force mains.
