Field Applications
Madison Chemical has been a leader for infrastructural coatings for over 35 years. Our products have been used in a myriad of “field” or on-site applications. Substrates include steel and other metals, galvanizing, concrete and wood. Some industries are clearly definable, such as the coating and lining of field-erected water storage tanks or water/wastewater processing plants. But the variety of industries served by our products is much broader than that, and includes:
Productivity Advantages
Madison products have always offered a number of advantages such as fast turnaround time, cold temperature cure, worker safety, lower labour costs and a variety of formats from instant-setting to paint-like.
With recent developments, the appeal of Madison products has broadened dramatically. A prime example is our “No-Blast” technology which, for many applications, eliminates all of the headaches associated with abrasive blasting. Cost savings are enormous, there is no cumbersome, expensive equipment involved and turnaround times can be cut in half. To find out more, click here.
Another recent development is the release of our next-generation AlumiZinc “S”, the most user-friendly Zinc Rich Primer on the market. It is surface tolerant, cures at cold temperatures and won’t mud crack. It applies like paint and is safe to use. To learn more, click here.
For field work, our new water-borne products are also worth your consideration. These polyurethane, acrylic and hybrid technologies offer minimal VOC’s, meeting the toughest standards anywhere, including future proposed air quality standards.
As mentioned earlier, the most common substrate that we encounter in the field is steel. To make your product selection easier, we have created a field applications decision tree to help you make the best choice for your particular application. Click here to see the decision tree.
