By protecting and preserving the infrastructure, our coatings offer long-term solutions to keeping pollutants out of sensitive ecosystems. Just as importantly, by providing long-term protection to new structures and by rehabilitating existing structures, we conserve both renewable and non-renewable resources.

Imagine no more. We are talking reality. A case in point is the ubiquitous underground gasoline storage tank, you know, the ones at your local service station. For many decades, these tanks had a life expectancy of about 20 years and pollution of the aquifer was an all-too-common occurrence. In 1975, Madison perfected CorroCote II Classic, a protective coating with a design life of more than a century. Between 1975 and 1999, every underground tank in America was replaced, as mandated by Underwriters Laboratories and the Environmental Protection Agency. Madison was there every step of the way; today, more than 300,000 underground tanks all across North America are protected with Madison technology. And these tanks will, quite literally, outlast the world’s known supply of hydrocarbons.
